If we turn up Stournari Street we will come to Exarchia Square which is the student section of Athens and home to the city's anarchists and leftists.
The police don't come into this neighborhood, and the area pretty much polices itself. For many young people this is the place to be, full of vintage record and CD shops,
cafes, used book shops, bars, clubs and restaurants. Very few tourists come here. If you are kind of straight this area would seem scary, especially at night.
If you are young, urban, hip and far left leaning you will think it looks like paradise.
