Thanks to my friend Dwain Confer, a teacher at the American Community School of Athens who suggested I make some google maps of my site. I started the first one which was a map that had everything, hotels, restaurants, cafes, archaeological sites and soon realized that the only practical way to do this maps is if I had one
map for each subject because there was so much stuff that the index was unusable. But because I had spent so much time on it I have kept it and probably
someone will find it useful. I have included not just Athens but all of Attika for those who are renting cars or doing daytrips with George the Famous Taxi Driver. The funny thing is that it is odd that I never thought of doing this because I love maps and once I started on this project it became addictive
and I had to force myself to leave the computer. Anyway if you have any comments
or ideas on how I could do this better please let me know because I am just now figuring it out. matt@greecetravel.com. There is a terrific map store on the corner of Voulis and Apollonos Street in the Plaka, right by Syntagma square called Anavasi Books which also has the most popular guide books and local guidebooks too.
